Alice Munro, a Canadian author, won the 2013 Nobel Prize for Literature. She is currently 82 years old and they refer to her as the "master of contemporary short story." It's obviously a big thing that she won the Nobel Prize for Literature. Most of what she writes about is set in Ontario, Canada, where she grew up. Alice's books are published here in the United States. The Prime Minister of Canada congratulated Alice Munro on her win through a Tweet and she was quoted, saying the award was a "surprise" but it was "quite wonderful." It is such a huge honor to win such an amazing award, and I feel happy for her! What are your thoughts on her win? Do you think she deserves this prize?
